If you are planning on using it though one thing to consider is how long it takes to dry? Well, let’s have a look and find out.

So, How Long?

The first thing to address here is that different brands will have different product makeups. Therefore they are also going to have different drying times.

Because of this, I will break this list down by brand. So scroll to your brand if you have already bought one or read through the list to see all the different drying times.

Soudal Gap Filling Expanding Foam

Soudal is probably the most recognisable brand when it comes to expanding foam. This is an all-purpose, handheld gap-filling expanding PU Foam with a patented “Genius Gun” application system. Re-usable for up to 6 weeks, the Genius Gun applicator enables high precision, single-handed use.

Drying Time

The Soudal foam takes 7 minutes to form a skin and be touch dry. It takes 25 minutes to reach cutting time.

The cutting time is the time after which the foam is still not entirely hardened, but the time after which the foam is not liquid anymore and can be cut.

Everbuild Expand & Fill

Easy to use one part polyurethane expanding foam for general construction and home improvement.

Drying Time

The Everbuild expanding foam takes 10 minutes to form a skin and be touch dry. It takes 150 minutes to reach cutting time at 30mm depth.

Everbuild Gun Grade Expanding Foam

Drying Time

This handheld foam takes 8-12 minutes to form a skin and be touch dry. It has a cutting time of 30-50 minutes and is fully cured in 100-120 minutes.
