Karcher K2 Compact Assembley
The Karcher K2 Compact is a very popular jet washer, so popular in fact you have seemingly just bought one and want to know how to assemble it. Well luckily for you I also bought one, and have taken step by step assembly photos to help you out!
Step 1 Screw on the hose adapter
If you are using the K2 Compact with a garden hose, which is what I guess most people will be doing, then you will need to screw this little adapter on first.
The adapter screws onto the jet washer here.
Step 2 Insert your garden hose
Now simply push your garden hose onto the adapter and your Karcher should now be connected to your water supply.
Step 3 Connecting the gun
Now you want to connect the gun to the actual jetwash. There will be a black hose that came with the jetwash with a connector on each end. These connectors are identical so you can’t get this the wrong way round.
One end connects into the gun and the other into the K2 compact.
The black hose connects to the washing machine here at the bottom where the grey tab is. To start with you need to push this grey tab upwards to open it.
Push the grey tab upwards to open the connector.
Insert the hose here. It fits in at a sideways angle, so just keep spinning it until you find it slides in.
Push the grey tab back down to lock the hose in place in the pressure washer.
Now we need to connect the other end of the pressure hose into the gun. The connection is at the bottom of the gun and works in the same way but with a yellow locking tab this time.
Pull the yellow tab down to open up the connection.
Insert the pressure hose here.
Push the yellow tab back up to lock this into place.
Step 3 Connecting the lance
Now the final step of assembling the Karcher K2 Compact, connecting the lance to the end of the gun.
You can see the tabs above on the lance. These will only insert in one direction, with the tabs facing away from the hole in the bottom piece.
Rotate the lance so it looks like the below image with the little yellow mark lining up with the holes in the end of the gun.
Push the lance fully in with force.
Twist the hose 90° until the tab you can see below is free to move upwards and lock the lance in place.
Let go and the tab will push back up and the lance will be fully locked into place.
That’s it, all you need to do now is plug it in and turn on the water and the K2 and you will be ready to clean!
