Where Are Sealey Tools Made?
Sealey is an old name when it comes to UK tool brands, but are the products made in the UK, or are they made abroad?
I’m sorry to say that like most things these days Sealey tools are usually from the far east. There isn’t one country where everything is made but most stuff seems to be from China or Taiwan.
On the plus side though Sealey does employ a lot of people in the UK. It looks like their head office is in the UK along with quite a large servicing sector.
The facility looks impressive from what I can see so there is definitely quite a large UK operation from the company. But when it comes to manufacturing it looks like most tools are made in China or Taiwan.
I say most as I am just going off the labels I have seen, maybe some of their tools might be made in the UK or Europe, which can sometimes be the case with more niche products, but from what I have seen most, if not all, of the manufacturing is done in the far east.
Who Are Sealey Tools?
Sealy was founded in 1978 and is still a family-owned business to this day. They are based in Bury St Edmonds and they produce a wide range of tools.
They now offer everything from power tools to Janitorial products but are best known, in my head at least, for automotive tools.
Where Sealey Stands Out
The thing that can set Selaey apart from other tool companies is their UK-based aftersales and service department.
To start with they offer long warranties on some of their products, in fact, some of the ranges even have lifetime guarantees!
The service centre from Selaey stocks over 130,000 different spare parts in the UK making them a great option for business-critical tools.
