How to remove a roller blind from the bracket
The time has come to remove your roller blind, but that damn thing just won’t budge out of its bracket. What’s the best way to remove it without ripping the whole thing out of the wall? Well, there is definitely a knack to it, and I have broken down that method below for you, along with some photos. Se lets get into the quick and easy step by step guide.
How to remove a roller blind from the bracket
the first thing we need to do is check whether the child safety cord is attached, if so remove it. Then we need to work out which side of the roller blind is which. This will play into how we remove the blind and luckily it’s really easy to work out which is which.

Step 1 – Find the mechanism side
The mechanism side is where all of the workings for the roller blind is. this is the side we will be using to remove the blind.

Step Two – Push the mechanism up
So now we push the whole mechanism up. You would see it move up a couple of millimetres. On most blinds there is a hook on this side of the blind, that is what we are releasing by pushing the whole mechanism upwards.
Step 3 – Lever the bracket away from the blind
Now that we have succesfully removed the blind from the little hook all we need to do is lever it out of the bracket. So just add a little sideways force to the bracket, this will allow the roller to come out of the bracket.
From here it should just fall out.

And thats all there is to it. Once this side of the roller has been removed the other side will just fall out and we are done here!
