What Is A Good Sugar Soap Alternative?
Sugar soap is a great decorating cleaner. But maybe you don’t have any to hand or you might just be looking for a natural alternative. Either way, you want to know what is a good sugar soap alternative? Well, let’s have a look.
Natural Alternative
Despite the natural-sounding name sugar soap is actually all chemicals. The name sugar soap comes from the fact that the powdered version of sugar soap looks just like granulated sugar.
Because of this, you may be looking for a more natural cleaner that does the same thing as sugar soap.
White vinegar is a natural degreaser, mix it with some bicarbonate of soda and some warm water and you have an effective homemade natural alternative to sugar soap.
If you want to get fancy you can even add some natural fragrance to cover the smell of the vinegar. Lemon, orange and lavender oils all work well for this.
Kitchen Cupboard Alternative
If you are not too fussed about it being all-natural and just want something you can cobble together from the kitchen in a pinch then here is a recipe for you.
Grab a bucket of warm water and add some white vinegar and a few drops of washing up liquid. This will work well as a degreaser and cleaner, although probably not quite as well as actual sugar soap would.
Shop Bought Alternative
There are a few shop cleaners you can buy that do the same thing as sugar soap does. Here are some of the better ones.
